A recent study at the Oregon State University shows that one of the Benefits of Hemp is defending human cells against COVID-19.
Oregon State University developed a chemical screening technique, which they have now used in the study that shows hemp compounds can inhibit the COVID-19 virus from entering human cells. The study, piloted by Richard van Breeman, a researcher at various Oregon institutions, shows that by attaching themselves to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, a pair of cannabinoid acids prohibit a key stage in the development of virus infection.
According to van Breeman, there are ample amounts of these two cannabinoid acids found in hemp and hemp extracts.
