An agricultural experiment that will take plant cultures to space, has Hemp in the News this week. Coffee and hemp are the chosen plants for the project.

An agriculture technology company wants to study the effects of microgravity and space travel on plants. Studies have shown that plants begin to mutate in space. Scientists want to know if this continues once the plants are transported back to earth.

Front Range Biosciences co-founder and CEO Jonathan Vaught stated that such experiments on coffee and hemp cultures are relatively new.

The SpaceX CRS-20 cargo flight will be transporting several plant cultures to the International Space Station in the spring of 2020.
