Hemp Foods Australia put Hemp in the News last week, when it received a grant from the government’s Accelerating Commercialisation program.
The hemp manufacturer, which is the largest hemp food company in the southern hemisphere, was awarded $589,337. The money will be used to purchase new processing equipment.
Paul Benhaim founded Hemp Foods Australia in 2000, and the business has been growing successfully ever since. Although the grant money means new machinery for the business, it is also about raising awareness and recognition of the hemp industry’s potential and validity.
