Sustainable insulation is one of the many Uses of Hemp, and a manufacturer in Edinburgh has received a financial boost to produce it.
IndiNature has received a grant for £803,000 from the Circular Economy Investment Fund (CEIF), run by the Zero Waste Scotland organization. The grant will be used to build a new factory, due to open next year. The company uses all natural raw materials to produce sustainable insulation for homes and commercial sites.
Industrial hemp is a key component in their products. It is 100% natural, fast-growing and sustainable. Hemp is a natural thermal and humidity regulator. It is also a breathable material, making homes and buildings healthier and more comfortable to be in.
IndiNature’s products are considered “carbon negative,” which means they absorb more carbon than they emit when manufacturing them.
