Canada Hemp Foods was founded in Gibsons BC back in 2006 by Robert Rae and Wally Venechuk after both men had decided to try adding hemp to their diet in order to clear up some frustrating chronic health conditions. Within weeks their ailments had cleared up! After hearing more stories from friends, family, and other people who had added hemp seed or hemp oil to their diets and seen huge improvements in health conditions such as diabetes, weight management, low energy, and persistent skin conditions*, they became so convinced of the invaluable health benefits of this nutritious plant that they decided to start a business so they could share it with others…and Canada Hemp Foods was born! Today the company has grown to offer hemp food products that are available in more than 200 stores across Canada, as well as Amazon.ca, Amazon.com, and our own online store. Since Robert’s retirement in 2023 Canada Hemp Foods has been owned and operated by the Bobbee family in Arborg, Manitoba. The Bobbee family has worked together with Canada Hemp Foods since inception and are honored to carry on the business name bringing their years of hemp knowledge and experience both growing and processing hemp since 1999. Canada Hemp Foods continues to be dedicated to the advancement of hemp foods as a natural, earth-friendly, easy-to-grow food source for the betterment of the human condition.
