The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has Hemp in the News by putting their money where their mouth is.
The Urban coalition and the Department of Agriculture have put up over $150 thousand to raise awareness and education for not only the public, but also farmers and industry sectors, to help them bring new thinking to the industrial hemp business.
The funds have been split three ways, with the biggest benefactor being awarded almost $110 thousand. Don Services, in Lawrence County, are hoping to use the money to help builders, farmers and others to learn more about hemp and the use of hemp construction materials.
