Primary Industries Minister Jeremy Rockliff says the government of Tasmania needs industrial hemp to be farmed on a large scale.
Industrial hemp has been grown in Tasmania since the early ’90’s, but it is not yet legal to grow it for food or medicinal purposes.
Some say a review of the states hemp farming regulations is needed. The government is also stalling on trials of growing Hemp as Medicine.
